The master study is finished, I moved my stuff from Enschede to Barger-Compascuum and now I'm busy packing my bags for the trip to Tokyo and New Zealand.

Tomorrow I will first go from Amsterdam to Tokyo. There I will stay alone, as fas as you can be alone in a city with 12 million inhabitants. There I will only stay for 3 nights, so I will have a busy schedule there! But I'm looking forward to be there a couple of days and to see the culture and experience a large crowd in a city.

After Tokyo I will head to Auckland (New Zealand) to meet a friend of mine who just had a traineeship there. The first month I will be traviling with him through as wel as the north as the south island of New Zealand. After the first month he will return to Holland and I will stay another month in New Zealand by myself. The second month I will meet some relatives who moved to New Zealand in the 50's. I'm looking forward to meet them and of course also to see and taste the culture and the nature of New Zealand!

Shrek the Third

First I wanted to go to this movie with the entire tennis team, but I only went with one (Erik). Before the movie started I already was laughing out loud when the preview of Simpsons the movie and Ratatouille started!

But about Shrek, the second part was not as good as the first part. But the third part was really good. I laughed through the entire movie . There was no part that I didn't like. The best parts were the parts with Pinocchio and Puss in Boots, but especially Donkey is very good again!!!

Because I don't want to tell you too much about this movie, I just say that everyone who wants a very nice evening out and wants to laugh a lot, this is a very good movie!!! I will give it an eight!!!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

After seeing the first 4 movies of Harry Potter, it was time to see the 5th part of the series. This part was also a very nice movie, but a bit more boring then the previous movie. Not very much was left for my own fantasy and therefore I thought the movie was not as good as the previous ones. Don't get me wrong, it was still a very nice evening, but the tempo of the movie was too slow! If I have to grade this movie, it will be a 6.5 (in a scale from 1 to 10).

On Wednesday July 11th I finally graduated for my Master degree. I already submitted my thesis a week before and today I had to give a presentation about my project. The project was to "Characterize a frequency domain fluorescence lifetime microscope". The presentation went pretty well and I also didn't have any problems with the questions. Now I'm officially a Master of Science! The rest of the week I celebrated being a M.Sc. What I'm going to do now is not certain yet. I can do my PhD now, or I can just start working.

On July 31st I will leave to Tokyo for 4 days and then continue the journey to New Zealand for about 2 months! After that I will start looking around!

I will keep you posted on my trip in Tokyo and New Zealand!
